I’m hoping you can help me or point me in the right direction. My grandfather, Robert W. Madgett, was in the 66th Infantry Division. Specifically, he was in the 566th Signal Corp. He passed away in 2009. Thank you for the information provided on your website and your book that I’ve been reading. It has been incredibly helpful along with several other websites, but I’m wondering if there is anyone I could speak with about the 566th Signal Corp specifically to fill in some holes for me. He told my grandmother that he was aboard the Leopoldville, but there is no record of his name. He mentioned loving Austria and often talked about returning there for a visit yet in my research I can’t find when he would’ve been in Austria. I also cannot find information about what his specific Signal Corp did while they were in Europe. I only wish I had thought of these questions before he passed away in 2009. Are there any members of the 566th Signal Corp still living?

Thank you so much for your time and your assistance.
